Tesla Killer?

At CES 2019 Byton revealed the production-ready version of the M-Byte. The M-Byte is a sleek, futuristic-looking SUV packed with tech. Some of the tech includes a 49-inch long screen, a 7-inch steering wheel screen, and much more.

Let’s start with the display. The M-Byte has a 49-inch long screen that would mainly be used as a dashboard to display things such as the speedometer to the driver. Though the display can also be used as a navigation system, a communication system, and more. Something you might be thinking is, “Isn’t It dangerous to have a 49-inch long screen shoved in your face while your driving?” Well, no, because Byton pushes the screen very far back making it easier to read and not shoving it at you at all times. This also means that the screen is not reachable making it not possible to be touchscreen.

This is where the next thing comes in… the 7-inch steering wheel screen. Yes, there is a 7-inch screen in the middle of the steering wheel and frankly… I don’t know how it’s legal. The 7-inch screen in the middle of the steering is going to be the driver’s way of controlling the many different features of the large screen. It can also be controlled by the passenger using the voice control or the hand gestures being tracked by a small camera on the dashboard. If you thought it was over with screens… you would be wrong because there are two more screens in the back just in case the back-seat passengers would like to watch a movie.m-byte

Now you may be thinking, “Wow, a car has a lot of screens so what. My 2016 Hyundai Veloster has a screen too.” Well, it doesn’t stop there with the features. The car has facial recognition, integrated Alexa by Amazon, and Facetiming and Messaging features. It also has it’s own wifi signal ready for 5G. It has biometric user identification on each seat as well meaning, it can identify which person is sitting in which chair using face ID. The car is also equipped with level 3 autonomous driving, which could very easily make it a competitor with Tesla. Byton has two models of this car which is the 250-mile version and the 325-mile version. The cost for the base model of the car is $45,000 which could also very well make it the Tesla killer.
